Welcome to our Little Adventure!

We are a group of fourth and fifth graders who want to solve a problem. Each year, about 3.3 million dogs in America go into an animal shelter. At least 670,000 of these dogs will be euthanized (aspca.org). We want to solve this problem because these poor animals suffer each day, and they shouldn't.

This blog will be all about these homeless dogs. Our goal is for our blog to succeed in decreasing the amount of dogs that get euthanized each year by teaching people more about how these animals live each day in a shelter, and the impact a long-lasting owner can make on their lives.

We believe all dogs deserve a beautiful home with caring owners who give them enough love and care to make them feel wanted. We hope you agree with our idea!

Follow our blog for weekly updates on adoptable dogs in the Bluffton and Hilton Head area and our opinions on dog-friendly topics. Stay tuned for our website- coming soon!

Peace and rescue,

  1. Wow - this is a wonderful blog! You are providing a great service to your community on this important topic. As many of you many know, Ms. Smith grew up with a rescue dog named Sanibel. She came to us as a 5 month old puppy. Although she was treated very badly in her first home, Sanibel lived her life filled with sunshine. Her favorite thing to do was to meet new friends! On a trip to Daufuskie, Sanibel was so happy to be there and to swim in the ocean, she wagged her tail too much. She ended up with a tail that she couldn't wag for a few days - she used it too much! That's how happy she was! Sanibel taught us many things about how to treat each other. I hope many people read your important work. Congratulations!
