Kiera is a 7 year old husky. This dog would be a great house pet for you. She would love to be adopted by someone out there that would care for her and love her. Kiera knows 2 simple tricks which most dogs know and they are sit and smile. She carries around a good luck charm everywhere she goes which is her one blue eye and her one brown eye. She is a beautiful kind of dog and she would love to live with someone that would love her lots.

Sweet Milan has had a tough life. She had multiple surgeries on two of her legs. She is about 8 years old. She has been at the Hilton Head Humane Association for 3 years. But still, she is a very lovable dog. She will love to be adopted and love to call somewhere her home. It would be good for her if she lived with smaller dogs that will not hurt her or knock her over.

Who doesn't love a teddy bear? Apollo is as cute as a stuffed teddy, and with his fluffy eyebrows and soft ears how could you not fall in love with this four-legged friend? Apollo was adopted from Hilton Head Humane Association as a tiny puppy. Sadly, as he got larger they were unable to keep him. He is a shy

dog who would probably  benefit from a confident friend to help him become braver. Apollo is 2-½ years old and ready for a permanent home.

Emma is a one year old dog. She is a mixed breed, and is medium-sized, so about 30-45 pounds. Emma loves to play outside with people. She gets along well with little kids and cats. Welcome to our Little Adventure!

      We are a group of fourth and fifth graders who want to solve a problem. Each year, about 3.3 million dogs in America go into an animal shelter. At least 670,000 of these dogs will be euthanized (aspca.org). We want to solve this problem because these poor animals suffer each day, and they shouldn't.

     This blog will be all about these homeless dogs. Our goal is for our blog to succeed in decreasing the amount of dogs that get euthanized each year by teaching people more about how these animals live each day in a shelter, and the impact a long-lasting owner can make on their lives. 

     We believe all dogs deserve a beautiful home with caring owners who give them enough love and care to make them feel wanted. We hope you agree with our idea!
